The Carnival Legend needs a major overhaul!!!!!! All of the elevators apparently had some graffiti, that they chose to remove using a scouring pad or steel wool, and scratched up all the mirrors in the elevators; not very attractive! The food left a lot to be desired; in the main dining room it was served at room temp, the buffet only had 1 service line going at a time, no matter how long the line
was (poor poor management), and the food choices were awful! Carnival apparently loves broccoli, because it is a cheap veg! and was on the menu almost every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The main courses offered did not go with the sides they had; someone needs to tell the executive chef what real people eat!!!!! Breakfast & most of the buffet items were cold, and the last night the prime rib was still 'mooing' when served! It was so bloody it was disgusting!!!!!!!!!!
The television in the cabin would go into mute mode due to the ship's PA announcements, even though one could not hear them More
in the cabin, and after the announcement was over, the volume on the television was deafening! The cabin's are in need of a major overhaul! the light in my bathroom took at least 45 seconds to come on after the light switch was hit.....who wants to loo in the dark?????? Had to ask for them to unlock the mini fridge so you can have access to store your diet cokes like I did, had to ask for an ashtray so you can smoke on your balcony (took me 3 days but finally got one!)
Witnessed a bartender 'berating' another bar staff person in front of passengers.....gotta love the management style, NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, general ship maintenance was not happening! The tables around the pool were cleared of dirty dishes, but never cleaned!!!!! Someone needs to tell Carnival clearing tables is way different then cleaning them!!!!!!!!!! Maybe we need to get some sponges & send them to Carnival!
The Captain was VERY unfriendly when attempting conversation, and the senior staff & officers were seen frequently throughout the week just 'hanging out' at various bars throughout the ship & fraternizing with the entertainment staff; sets a very poor example for other crew members. Spoke with several passengers who commented on how unfriendly the staff was; management style trickles down from the top, and with my experience with the Captain, I know where the other crew members get it from. Belize city not nice, excursion to Xunatunich was okay, very long & had to change buses 3 times during due to a blown out tire. rrived back for the tender very late! Good thing excursion was booked through Carnival.
Stingray city & snorkeling were awesome! Booked the 1:45 pm tour as last tender left shore at 5:00 pm, howvwer the tour was to arrive back in Georgetown at 4:00 pm, did not arrive back until 4:55 pm as the boat crew was on 'Island time'.
