Ship Facts: Carnival Victory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Victory Deck Plans
Carnival Victory - Eastern Caribbean

We arrived at the dock around 1100 and unloaded bags into the cages to go on the ship. We got in line to check in and it went fast. We waited in another group and then went to have our picture made and board the ship.. It took one hour and ten minutes.

Once on we were told that our rooms were not ready until 1:30. After we started to the Lido deck to eat we found out that our rooms were ready and we took our carry on bags to the rooms. We had a balcony room on the 6 floor. Kids had an inside room right across the hall. Rooms were great, plenty of storage with an even better view.

Our first day was at sea and our first stop was Puerto Rico. It was ok. I've been there several times so i didn't care. Getting in so late doesn't give you much time to do a lot. We just walked around town and looked.

Left there and went to St Maarten. This is a great island if you know what you want to do. I would recommend that you do your own touring. I think you could get a better deal and see better thing. We did the catamaran and snorkel and were not impressed. I know there are better places to snorkel. I would just shop and go to Orient Beach next time.

St. Thomas was our next stop. This is one of the best and prettiest islands to us. We shopped here and then took a boat ride to St John. This was the best excursion we have taken on the ship. We went to Trunk bay and snorkeled and it was fantastic. It is a marine preserve and has a great snorkel trail on one of the best reefs around. You can spend all day watching and looking for all kinds of marine life. We would go there again on our own and stay all day next time.

We then had two days at sea. This is just relaxing time. Sleeping on the deck is great. Always something to do. Our kids were always busy when they wanted to be and could do nothing also. Food was perfect.

Service was first rate. Any time some one is cleaning after you, serving you, and entertaining you it can't be bad. Shows were fine. We did not go every night but we went on the main shows. Bingo and give always were plentiful.

We were on this cruise as a free cruise that we won last year on the Glory. We paid the extra for the balcony and were not disappointed. We love the ship and the crew. We not not even have to think if we would go again.

Any one going on this ship does not have anything to worry about. It will be great and you will have fun. The right attitude is all that is needed. If you have any questions just e-mail me and let me know what they are.
