We did this same cruise at the same time last year but on Voyager instead of Navigator, so the ship layout was same. Once again we stayed at Hampton Inn, Metarie, where we left our car for no charge for the week. Embarked before noon and headed for Two Poets for drinks and food from Cafe.
Our jr suite included a coffee maker, robes, and walk-in closet. Very clean and tidy.
Dinner was early seating in MDR at ten top with very congenial tablemates. Ate all dinners and several lunches there. One meal in WJ was enough. Missed pool grill that is on other ships.
Never went to shows(music usually too loud), casino, or pool. Mostly ate, drank, and slept.
These were same ports we had done twice before. In Cozumel we enjoyed the chocolate factory tour that we booked on-line. In Georgetown we took an independent tour of rum cake factory etc. In Falmouth we stayed in port and shopped.
Norovirus meant crew was constantly washing railings and not allowing passengers to serve own food. The last night all glasses were removed from our room until I bitterly complained about having nothing to use while taking pm and am pills. Why could they not leave us paper cups?
The last morning we left our cabin early for the written promise of refreshments in dining room while waiting to disembark. No food available. Were they afraid we would get sick while leaving ship?
