Cruise review
Western Caribbean: Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel
First time cruisers, my wife and I, wanted the service and food to be of great quality. Everything else we figured would be what we made it. It's easy to complain about everything that is not catered to you or your preference.

Embarkation was simple and smooth. We arrived at the terminal at 12:20 by 12:45 we were aboard the ship. There was still some time before our room would be ready so we went and had lunch at the pasta bar in the Cucina del Capitano (during lunch, this specialty restaurant is no charge). Good eating and the service was good.

After we finished eating, a tour of the ship was about to start, why not get a good overview of the beautiful ship. During the tour we got to see how nice the ship really is. From there to the room we went. We had a nice, comfortable balcony room. Got to meet our steward and he was really nice and remembered our names after meeting us the first time. More

Southern Lights dining was very nice in every aspect. Look, service, entertainment and food all met and exceeded our expectations. Wasn't expecting the entertainment they delivered while we were dining (we had a singing server who was very good, and the dancing was good too). Prime steakhouse was great worth the fee!

A variety of things to do throughout our time on board. Really enjoyed the dodgeball, so much so that I had to give the spa some much needed attention. Comedy shows were funny as well as the few shows we did attend.

Didn't know much about how shore excursions worked so we booked while on board. Each one was different and met our personal expectations. I would suggest taking the time to find what best meets your preference and budget before boarding if possible. We've also come across several cruisers who booked their own excursions separate from Carnival, this can be risky.

Overall our first cruise was a huge success, we left the ship extremely Thankful to The Lord Jesus Christ for giving us this opportunity to have the experience and we were thoroughly pleased with what the Magic had to offer.

Going to give the Carnival Breeze a go this coming summer, hoping to have similar results. Less
