Ship Facts: Freedom of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Freedom of the Seas Deck Plans
Fantastice time on the Freedom of the Seas!
We are a family of 4 --youngish husband, wife, and 2 boys ages 10 and 11. This was the second cruise for me and hubby and first for our kids. Our first cruise was on Majesty back in 1999 which got us hooked on Royal Caribbean.

I can't even begin to describe what a fantastic ship the Freedom is and what a fantastic time was had by all. We took the advice of veteran cruisers and flew in the day before from Philly to Orlando. We booked the fly, snooze, and cruise package with the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach. Worked out perfectly and would absolutely do this again.

This ship has everything you could possibly want in a vacation. Whether you want adventure or relaxation it is up to you. Our boys played basketball, golf, ping pong, swam in the pool, soaked in the hot tubs, and had tons of fun on the flowrider primarily on sea days. Hubby and I relaxed by the pool, solarium, and of course the hot tubs -- always with a cold drink in our hand!

First stop at Coco Cay was basically a beach day for us. Got the tender at about 9:00ish, laid on the beach, got a couple of the floating mats, and relaxed. Did the bbq lunch which was just ok. In hindsight we should've just waited to get back on the ship and go the windjammer or Johnny Rockets (which unfortunately we did not get to try all week). Coming back from Coco Cay we must've taken the 2:00pm tender.

In St. Thomas we got off the ship and went straight to the cab area and went to Sapphire Beach. What paradise! The water was about 82 degrees and very calm but salty. We had lunch there and got back to the ship about 4:00pm. Went out to do some shopping and were back on the ship by about 5:30.

St. Martin we did Bernard's tour which was the biggest waste of time. Only good part was Orient Beach. Should've just stayed there all day.

Debarking was very easy as we did the luggage valet service so we were able to relax in the morning, get some breakfast and leave the ship without any hassle. Travelynx was waiting for us to take us back to the airport.
