Four of us from Maryland, left from the Port on Sat. Dec. 1, Princess ship was in a temporary dock/terminal #29, what a mess with traffic. I returned rental car to Hyatt, took a taxi back to ship, it took from 12:30 to 2:30 to board with traffic and lines.
Cabin location (E711)in the back of ship, we had a great cabin steward Aries, he had 16 cabins to take care of. I dont think I would book in that area again, you could feel and hear noise from the ship, not bad enough to keep you awake. We had anytime dining, first night on board we had about a 30 minutes wait with pager, arrving about 6:30, I think everyone got off to a late start. We did not sail out till about 5:30 there were 7 ships in dock that day.
We stopped first day Princess Keys, next day at Sea, then Curasal, Aruba and two days at sea and home to FLL.
Coffee cards good for each sailing, dated on the back, specialty coffees dont expire on your card and you can use them on your next PC, but regular coffees do. Next time I think we would pay as you go, as we didn't drink $31.00 worth of coffee. International Cafe Coffee was not very good. Better in the DR with breakfast and free. Soda cards about the same price. Entertainment, main show offered each night, but not having a alternative performer elsewhere. Food just ok, not what I remember with Princess. Choices were just not there, some nights there was nothing appealing. Desserts same thing, a few regulars and about three optional choices a night. We found some really great servers in the Island DR on our third day, we went back to them every meal we could. We had anytime dining, first night on board we had about a 30 minutes wait with pager, Did not get a reservation to Crown Grill, waited to long to call on Wednesday, was put on a waitlist but never got a call. Any questions just let me know. Tried to keep it short and to the point.
