The Good and the Bad of Independense of the Sea Cruise
Three night cruise Cococay and Nassau, or we thought so.
Went to Cococay and had a great time.
So far so good. Food great, service great and room great.
Then the disaster began.
Captain told us do to over booking of slots there we not more spaces for us to pull into Nassau. Very disappointment since we had book this cruise with another couple that had never been there.
Ok can deal with this until they tell us we were going to Freeport ( the pit of the Bahamas as far as I am concerned). Also instead of getting into port at 8am, we are now getting into port at 2pm and leaving at 9pm. Boy cant wain to hang around Freeport in the dark.
Well still dealing with the new info but now the disaster begins.
I guess no one told the servers that we wouldn't be in port until pm because there was not a drink server to found at any pool. Usually you cant get them out of your face. Had to go to the bar and wait over a half hour for a drink not cool. Also lunch was More much to be desired. I guess some of the cooks were also off for the day because the food took forever to come and they ran out of lots of things.
Just seemed as everything for the rest of the cruise went down hill.
Pulled into port but the ship had to dock somewhere else so everyone had to be shuttled to another parking area where our cars where. Just a mess, people cutting lines, confused and angry. Not a nice way to end the cruise.
I think Independence of the sea needs to go into refurbishing now and come back with a more organized crew. Less
