This ship has been hailed as a true luxury ship; and in that regard, it is. The stateroom was spacious and comfortable, and pleasantly quiet. Service was reasonable, and we enjoyed our stay.
Travelling as a family of four (including 2 teen boys) we realized pretty quickly that this ship was probably not the best fit for us. The teen program was great, when it was running, but it had lots of down time. Our kids were not permitted into the indoor pool areas, which would have been fine except the inclement weather meant we didn't get pool time together.
The food was probably as good as one could expect for mass-produced food, but it never seemed quite
fresh or exciting or interesting.
I found the Guest Relations desk to be helpful, but understaffed. We had a problem with our key cards, and it took several trips to the desk to get it sorted out. We also asked several times for an engineer to answer a couple simple questions for my kids (school project) but they never did respond to our requests.
Overall, the ship experience was good, but nothing to rave about. The ship has plenty of lounge areas, but no quiet, comfortable areas. Lots of uncomfortable furniture and noisy spots. The entertainment was okay, but not compelling.
Because the weather didn't always cooperate, I wish the activity staff had created more interesting indoor activities. It felt like there wasn't much to do if you didn't get into venues early. Thankfully, we were able to watch TV and relax in our stateroom.
