This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean - Radiance of the Seas. Our previous cruises were with P&O.
We found the majority of the crew fantastic, always greeted us with a smile and helpful.
The hygiene on the ship was very good, the public toilets and general areas were clean and well maintained.
We thought the entertainment was excellent, from the production shows to the entertainers around the various bars.
We had our evening meal in the formal dinning room each night, our waiters, Jimmy and Jude were amazing, their attention to detail made us all feel like VIP's. We found the food and presentation excellent. The head of our dinning room was Jeffrey, who came around each night to all tables to have a chat and make sure we were happy.
For breakfast and lunch we went to Windjammers, we found the food to be varied and tasty. One problem area is the tea and coffee station, it can become quite congested and people were becoming impatient. We also noted that the staff in the beverage area (tea, coffee, water ect)could be offhand and rude at times.
The rest of the Windjammer staff were friendly and efficient.
We went to Giovannies (Speciality Restaurant) one night and unfortunately did not have a memorable experience. The hostess was disinterested, when I sat down I told her the sun was fully in my eyes and would it be possible to sit elsewhere? She replied that the sun would eventually set! Our waiter kept disappearing for long periods and lacked enthusiasm.
We spoke to another couple who dined there a few nights before who stated that they had a memorable night, and were going to go again. So I think we were unlucky.
We loved the adult pool area, really fantastic, with a lovely cafe, tea & coffee station, very decadent! You could just spend the day in there chilling out.
Our room attendant was very attentive, our room was always so well maintained with a personal touch, thankyou Kadeck.
We loved our time on Radiance of the seas and we are now thinking about planning a family cruise with our adult children and grandchildren.
