We have cruised many times. Nov. 17 from Ft. Lauderdale on the Emerald Princess to 7 perfect islands. The Princess ships are beautiful, clean, and have really good service. We love that there are two adult pools. That is why we have returned 7 times. The food has been going downhill. On this cruise almost everything we had in the dining room was flat out inedible. The quality was horrible. The entertainment and activities have gotten old and repetitive. The bands were the most amateur we have ever had. We're sick of hearing motown, YMCA, etc. in the disco. Get an I-tunes account; current music should not be a big deal. No one ever is in the disco because every night is Oldies Night (enough is enough) We have always love cruises. We love seeing 7 different, beautiful islands.
BUT we are done. We even tried a specialty restaurant and could eat nothing that was served. I mean beef that cannot be chewed and tastes really weird. Lobster that tastes 30 days old and reeks of fish. Escargot that takes like dirt. Instead of freshly prepared salad dressing, horrible commercial dressing.. No longer an everyday menu to count on. Bad food, bad entertainment, bad music, tired, stale activities.
Destination travel at an all exclusive with great food will be our future vacays!
A621. We loved our interior cabin. It was very quiet and perfectly located. Interiors are great for sleeping because there is no light at night and we slept late every day. We were near the elevators and pools, dining rooms. One of the best locations we have ever had. Aloha deck is convenient. There are a lot of nooks and crannies for your things. Our bed was hard at first and despite what the cabin steward said, we got a topper for our bed and it was very comfortable after that. Also had them replace the skimpy pillows....all of this is available if you are persistent.
