The Carnival Sensation is an older ship that manages to keep up with today's new super-liners thanks to recent updates and a staff that was second to none.
The room was clean and on the large size. The food in the dining room and the buffet was some of the best we have ever tasted and the drink selection was acceptable. Activities are pretty much standard fair, the "show" was rather boring but the comics were funny.
The 2 ports in the Bahamas are nothing spectacular, in fact, Freeport is a cargo port that requires a bus to even get to the nearest shopping district, not worth getting off the ship for.
Our biggest gripe was the maitre d in the Ecstasy dining room. He was extremely loud, was a horrible "singer", had the staff perform a foolish looking dance to one of today's "pop" hits and had the speakers turned up so loud that everyone at our table had to cover there ears. Making up for him was the ships cruise director, a hilarious Scot called Wee Jimmy.
All in all it was well worth the price we paid (which was significantly under the $600 mark including tips for the 2 of us). Oh, and Port Canaveral is a piece of cake to maneuver.
