We so looked forward to meeting and celebrating birth day's with our Europe friends from South Hampton and Ireland. We meet on a Celebrity Cruise (Solstice) 3 years ago. What a shock and surprise to see the difference on the Eclipse. First the good. It is a beautiful ship and the itinerary was fantastic Very clean and well layer out.... HOWEVER. Beware of your service expectations if you get the all inclusive beverage package. The staff HATE it and are very obvious to the point they avoid you, you are the last to be served, and you wait in line unattended while they wait on others who. They know are tipping per drink. We were told by many staff members that they do not like the program at all and they loose tips and money. It was certainly a bargain for the money but the aggregation almost wasn't worth it. The food had a great presentation and variety, but temperatures were awful. Escargot. Cold 3 nights, oysters Rockefeller so cold the cheese was crusted, Lobster was like rubber . The "General Manager" was no help at all, in fact rather than apologetic he was accusatory and condescending saying we might have unrealistic expectations and maybe we came off as rude. REALLY? It was the worst of 38 + cruises I have been on. When others ask to see the general manager to complain , he refused to see the, and said they were aware of perceptions and concerns. . Already booked on South America itinerary on celebrity next year, seriously considering canceling. It was unbelievably a bad experience and very poor representation Of Celebrity
Veranda. Very clean and nice. Plenty of room to walk around . Great spacious bathrooms.
