Ship Facts: Celebrity Equinox Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Equinox Deck Plans
Excellent Cruising Experience
We had heard a lot about the standard of service and quality of food and we were not disappointed. We arrived in Rome at about 7am and had a private shuttle booked for 11.30am to take us to the ship. So a long wait at the airport. At 12.15pm we were still waiting to be transported, as our driver wanted a full cab. After a few angry words we drove to the port at 12.30pm at a speed well exceeding the speed limit.

Check in the the port was a breeze and we were in our room within 15 minutes. A bottle of champagne and basket of fruit was waiting in our room. The room was spacious and we found there was sufficient space to store all our belongings. Our room was underneath the gym and whilst we had read about the noise we did not seem to notice it.

The bathroom was spacious and the shower with its jets was wonderful. The balcony was of a good size and a wonderful place to relax and read. The relaxation room at the front of the ship was also a good place to just chill.

We ordered room service only a few times. Our breakfast did not include an item we ordered and we found eating in the room a bit cramped. So we went to the Oceanview Cafe to eat most days for breakfast and with the variety of food it was difficult not over eating. The chef cooking eggs knew my name on the second day.

The best part about Aqua class was the Blu restaurant with its anytime dining option and the quality of the food and service which was excellent. Our waiters knew our name and we almost always got the seats we preferred.

We found the itinerary very good. The ship used to dock by 7am on most ports and leave at 6pm so you had the whole day to explore each port. We did not take any ship tours but organised our own small group tours at half the price. We were lucky that the weather was good and had only one day of rain.

We found that thing were organised very well and it never fell crowded. Everything flowed in an organised manner. Disembarkation was also very smooth and quick.

We enjoyed our cruise so much that we prepaid our deposit for a future cruise.
