Conclusion: There is a cruise line for each person type as well as occasion. We took this cruise on Princess first and foremost for the itinerary. Aruba and Curacao are great and can't wait to go back. It was a nice change from the usual Western and Eastern Caribbean trips that all the cruise lines take. Secondly, it was a good price for the Holidays while the kids were out of school. Finally it was a chance to try another cruise line to see if the grass is greener on the other side.....

Itinerary-more variation than RCL

Similar decor to RCL

chocolates on pillows and wet towel when coming ashore

Excellent food- Have not sailed with RCL since the recent menu changes-so may not be a factor now.

Friendly staff- RCL staff is friendly as well.

Allowed to bring wine on board- As of Nov 1 this is also true on RCL.

Pools- The ship did have a decent gym and pools, which were certainly less crowded and not as many More chair hogs as on RCL.

Anytime Waiting is ridiculous- RCL limits the number of people in Anytime dining. It is truly anytime.

Kids program was the worst I have seen or heard of. Especially for Thanksgiving when there were a higher number of kids on board than usual.

Nightlife- was none. Entertainment at night was the usually dance shows, comedians, etc. Only one comedian/ventriloquist was good. No true piano bar with requests. Night club was nice, but under used for dancing. I used it to watch football games, since they weren't shown on the big screen like RCL.

Daytime activities- No Ice rink, Rock climbing wall, surf machine, 18 hole putt putt golf. No games like quest (adult only scavenger hunt).

Demographics- Definitely overall older crowd than RCL.

On another note, the ship did have the casual pics available, which we LOVE so much better than the usual corny cruise pics. They also make it fun. I did call Princess to get the release form to have as many copies as I want made.

This concludes my review and pics. Hope to see you soon on the high seas!! Less
