Embarking was easy & quick. Everything went much quicker than we anticipated.
This was our first balcony (aft extended) and we were very pleased. Since we were on the deck below the Lido pool, we had a cover over our balcony providing shade and since we were aft, there was protection from the wind. The cabin provided plenty of space. The bathroom had shelves to place toiletries & did not feel cramped at all.
Food in both the main dining room and the buffet was good. We didn't try the steak restaurant. There were plenty of options around the ship for eating. The pizza was delicious and available anytime. My favorite drink was Kiss on the Lips.
Entertainment was so so except for the Vroom show which was excellent.
There were so many lounge chairs available by each pool that getting one was never a problem.
The ship was beautiful and the staff was constantly cleaning. Can't say enough about the wonderful staff aboard the Carnival Splendor.
In Cabo we took the glass bottom boat (available when you get off the tender) and it was a beautiful ride to where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.
In Puerta Vallarta we took the Metro bus to the Malecon and spent the afternoon strolling, shopping and enjoying the beautiful views. We found a pub to enjoy some ice cold Coronas before heading back to the ship.
The disembarking went smoothly and we were at LAX via Carnival shuttle by 10:15.
