Destiny is absolutely a family oriented ship and we went during Thanksgiving week so I knew that there would be a lot of children on the ship but the kids took over. All the pools and hot tubs were completely packed with kids constantly and they didn't have one designated adult pool. If you have kids this would be the cruise line for you because all the kids looked like they were having blast in there little kids clubs together.
The food left a lot to be desired. The ship had the typically hot dog/hamburger & French fries all the time. The lunchtime & dinner buffet was wishy-washy and bland. The main dining room dinner was the best food on the ship.
Casino service was excellent. Blackjack dealers were amazing and always brought me good luck.
Spa had a raffle the first day. Make sure you show up for the drawing. They give away a ton of gift certificates but you have to be present. The spa is very clean and relaxing. They were running amazing spa specials all week so watch for different deals each day.
Gift shop: The gift shop told us that they were running a special on the alcohol on the first day of the cruise and the prices were going up the next day but they never went up. Don't buy you liquor from the cruise ship, buy it in Ochos Rios at the store outside the gates at the port. Prices are MUCH cheaper.
