Flew into Quebec City the day before we could board our ship the Emerald Princess. We have cruised with Princess three times before all on either the Coral or Island Princess so this ship was much larger than we were used to.

Ship - our ship was amazing. We had no issues with the condition or any staff that were onboard. We were taken care of by everyone from our room steward to the wait staff to the bar and casino staff. No complaints at all! Had heard many things about the ship prior to boarding but we totally enjoyed our room and the ship.

Food - again had heard changes had taken place with the Princess menu. We were again very pleased. We ate in the Caribe Cafe, Horizon Court, the main dining room and we made one trip to The Crown Grill. The Crown Grill is well worth the additional cost. We sat up by the chef and watched our meal being prepared. Will do this again anytime we are on a ship that it is available. We also went to the International Cafe where we ate breakfast, lunch and several snacks. The pizza, ice cream and Trident Grill were all up to our expectations and we were pleased with the food. During peak times, it could be difficult to get a table at the Horizon Court. Also, people tend to butt in line like the food is going to run out. I have never understood this as I've never seen them run out of any food!!!

Balcony

Great area, close to an elevator that went either directly up to the buffets or down to an easy walk to the Piazza and everything important on Deck 7.
