Not entirely sure where to start, we booked this cruise down to the good dates (over my birthday) cheap price (£290 for 4 nights) and the locality (Southampton), but this doesn't mean the ship was going to be good.
To summarise, the food was very very poor and very bland, the choice was awful in the buffets and not enough sections were open so queues were huge. The breakfast would of annoyed a tramp and the lunches were flavourless.
The entertainment was also pretty poor bar quite a good band called Vibz the comedian was about as funny as the cold war and the shows were not that good.
The actual ship is huge with loads of space, which hasn't been filled with anything but lift shafts and corridors.
The planetarium (baring in mind we did a 4 night cruise)was only on 7 times. The room only holds about 100 people and the shows were 25 minutes long. Why couldn't they show it more? tickets were released at 9 in the morning and all went!
If that wasn't enough, the tea room was open for 1 hour a day but was the main attraction, why couldn't it open longer? we never got a chance to go as it was so busy.
The pub was awful, couldn't get a table ever as there's no actual queue system and good luck if football is on, I went to watch a game and asked 6 times to have the volume turned up.
Apart from this there were none of the usual promenade or deck parties or themes or anything fun. The ports of call were awful we docked next to Guernsey for a day but didn't go there (why not, were docked 10 miles away!!!) next day end up in Le Havre in France which was more deserted than the moon. Finally, the last stop of Brugge seemed good until we didn't read between the lines and docked miles from Brugge.
Only good points were the casino was quite big, drink can be taken on, room service was amazing and they have a lift just going between two main sections (decks 2/3 and 7) this saved a lot of time.
Save money and travel an American company Cunard cut back and make passengers suffer.
