Embarked in Quebec City for Canada and Colonial America cruise. Embark procedure unremarkable. Mini Suite Balcony Cabin on Norwegian Dawn was similar in size to balcony cabin on other cruise line ships and not worth extra cost.
Dining: Food and service in buffet was like college dorm cafeteria - not bad but definitely not better than satisfactory. Main dining room food was very good but many servers often confused orders. If you are a early diner, anticipate waiting in line for a table. Later, diners could be seated immediately. Special restaurants were not worth the up charge especially the "Banboo." If you are a wine drinker stand by for a large tab. Most California wines that we are familiar with cost at least 3 times the retail price in local stores. If you purchase wine and bring it on board, they charge $15.00 corkage per bottle at the boarding point.
Cabin Service: Cabin service was good in our case. Fellow travelers complained about the quality of cleaning.
Mini Balcony Suite not worth extra money. Size about same as regular balcony on other cruise lines.
