We traveled from Nashville and arrived in San Juan on Sat.,like a previous review we had rooms at the Casa Blanca in OSJ, 1 week before leaving got an e-mail telling us they overbooked. We searched for another hotel, booked Embassy Suites in Dorado, good hotel, expensive, charged a resort fee, but good happy hour and breakfast included. Arrived at the port at 11:30 and able to board then. Brought 2 bottles of wine at CVS. Our room was not ready until 1:30. We were on deck 8 aft right below the lido deck. Great location. Walked around OSJ for the rest of the afternoon and picked up two more bottles of wine. No problem with bringing them back on. Room steward Waylan from Bali was great, ice, towel animals and kept it spotless. Shower stall needs to be redone but didn't bother our trip. The ship was much better than we expected reading some reviews. Only major complaint was one of aft hot tubs worked only on one day.

We do late sitting, thinking that it provides better service having the same waiters and gave us a chance to relax before dinner. and was very true on this cruise. Dinner in Atlantic dining room was very good our lead waiter John and his two assistants were great, meals were hot and delievered in a timely manner.

Good choice of entrees. We ate breakfast on the aft lido deck by Sirens bar, The omlett station there seldom had people and plenty of places to sit while the inside was crowded. Read more
