Ship Facts: Voyager of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Voyager of the Seas Deck Plans
Good cruise, shame about the food.
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, we booked through Jetline and had 3 days in Beijing prior to Boarding, which were really good.

Then we arrived at Tianjin,to board, which was rather chaotic, however we were on the ship within about an hour and a half into our cabin which was ok.

The cabin was clean, and we had no complaints about the cabin and our Cabin steward Ant was excellent.

As it was just myself and my husband on hols without children for the first time, i had pre booked the Ultimate Romance Package, which was waiting for us in our room, this included, 2 robes, champagne, cup cakes, framed picture taken on the formal night and petit fours and canapes delivered to our cabin on the 3 nights. There was supposed to be flowers, but these did not arrive, i queried this and was told there was a problem and they had not been delivered to the ship in China, and asked what else i would like, so i opted for more champagne which was delivered the next day. I thought this at £127 for the lot was excellent value.

The other passengers on board were really nice,we had pre booked all excursions via RCL on line before boarding, and thank god we did as every time we passed guest relations there were huge queues.

All excursions were really good, the only places we did not do ship excursions in were Fukuoka in Japan and Xiamen in China where we did our own thing.

Food - This was a massive disappointment!

we have done lots of cruises with Thomson, and found Thomson so much better, we did do my time dining, and had prebooked at 8pm every night, we felt very rushed, there were only 3 courses, the food was average,it was very poorly presented, most nights we were given a menu and told that they were out of half of the items on it. We ate mainly in the Windjammer for lunch and breakfast and found this OK although the tables were very slow in being cleared, and very, very busy.

We did not rate the evening shows ( we only did 2), with the exception of the Ice show which was fantastic. We did not use the casino,we played mini golf once, table tennis a few times, and mainly sat around the adult pool. which were all OK. We used the spa twice and my husband used the gym most days. All were fine.

The last day before we docked in Singapore I came down with a chest infection (there seemed to be alot of people affected by this) and I am still suffering three weeks on.

All in all it was good holiday saw some fab places, the exception was food.

All the staff were really helpful and friendly.
