Thank you camp carnival.

Sail Date: November 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

Boarding was exceptional. We were early though. Sailing was my wife, 2 kids(3&5) and myself.
We arrived 11:15 and were on board 11:30 on lido. No lines anywhere at the time. Hung out at pasta bar until rooms were ready. It was nice and quiet there which helped kids relax.

Overall service was excellent. Very personable staff. They would always return our smiles and remembered our kids. Even the hostess at pasta bar remembered our kids 3 days into cruise from our first day. Then she even went out of her way to get candy for them during her 1/2 day off at port. Cabin staff was very attentive and so were our waiters.

Casino was a lot of fun as usual. First time on carnival that the dealers kept track of play at tables. Great since i finally earned free drinks. I do not play slots so i had trouble getting my points in past.

Enterntainment was good. They need new vocals at all stations. Funforce was amazing and so was the dancing overall. What seemed odd More though is that they would put at dancer that is 5.1 next to a 6.4 dancer. Just looked odd.

Food was good nothing exeptional in regular areas except the tandoori. Absolutely amazing.

Slides were awesome. 42" in height restriction though.

I am absolutely sold on carnival for cruises with kids. Their camp carnival was awesome. Kids had a blast and it was even hard to get them to come back to our room even at midnight. They had parties at night for kids. For 2-5's they had glowstick and glow in the dark parties. Dancing as animals parties. Kids would ask to go to camp immediately after coming back from port. Would always want to eat at camp. (Adult dinner was too long and boring they said). Camp carnivals daily program was just amazing. Only annoying thing is they close for build a bear once a day. And they give u cell phones to use on ship. U can call other cells too. Really neat as we were traveling with another family.

I have one complaint. But its with carnival not with the dream. We always travel in balconies. This time we booked interior. They said balcony is 185 sq ft and interior is 185 sq ft. That is not true at all. We will take that up with carnival. But where in balcony room u have a couch, table, king beg, vanity, two nightstands and room to walk. In interior we had king bed vanity nightstands and no room to walk. What happened to sitting area. There is no way the rooms are the same size at 185 sq ft. Live and learn but we are never going interior again. Less

Just book an excursion. Port is bad.
