I found out that taking a cruise from New York is not a good idea. The worse part is getting to the cruise port. The Taxi driver really don't care how they drive. We were being driven to the cruise port and 7 taxi drivers pulled out in front of us. We were blessed with an exception driver that was able to slam on the brakes at the right time.
After getting to the cruise port we had a longer wait than usual to board the ship. Didn't get us the best frame of mind, but that when the fun began and the enjoyment started.
The NCL Star has a great list of entainment on the ship after 7 p.pm.. The days drag on the ship if you don't drink. or hang around the pools, go to where to buy diamonds talks, or to the art auction. The crew cast shows are wonderful. You will love them. Some of the comics were great, second city was terrible, wish they had more musicals. Music in the Atrim was wonderful. The singing cook was like a Las Vegas show, he had everyone up an dancing.
Loved the ports, But wish we could have stayed longer. Didn't like the server that insulting three women, but I guess he wasn't trained properly.
We left the ship in New Orleans and it embassed the ship company because they showed they could not unload the luggage or get the people off the ship as they wanted. We was suppose to disembark at 9 a.m., but we didn't get off till noon. It was like it was the first time they did this. Everyone was madder than hell. No apolizes, no sorrys, just nothing. Guess they need to be trained better.
