This was our 4th Celebrity cruise, and it was outstanding. In fact, this was our 10 cruise altogether, and it was the best of all previous cruises that we have taken on four other cruise lines.
Beginning with the airline travel (Air Canada) to England, to the end of the cruise arriving in Ft. Lauderdale, it was mostly outstanding in all respects.
There was one thing I wish they would change, and that is to provide self-service laundry facilities for the guests.
Overall, the dining was exceptional, both in the Ocean View and Moonlight Sonata restaurants. The Ocean View cafe had a very good layout and selection of different cuisines, but did seem a bit redundant by the end of the cruise. Seems they could have changed it up a bit more. Loved the afternoon tea, and also the early evening Sushi bar.
1) The Hot Glass Show by the Corning Museum of Glass - Exceptional! What a terrific concept! Loved it, and didn't miss many of their shows.
2) Mr. James W. Kennedy. (Retired director of the Kennedy Space Center) was a truly outstanding speaker! His presentations were nothing short of tremendous. Really enjoyed his presentations.
They had a terrific Jazz group on-board. Four young folks most of which were post graduates from the University of Miami with music degrees. They were all VERY talented musicians and were a joy to listen to.
Overall, this was a terrific cruise experience for us. Love Celebrity cruise line over the others we've sailed with. The only other cruise line that comes close is Royal Caribbean, who owns Celebrity, (go figure)
There were a couple of nights in the Moonlight Sonata (dinners) that were not up to par with meals we've had in the past, and the night they featured Oso Buco, they ran out and we were not able to order that dish...
All in all though, we were pleased with all aspects of the cruise, the ship, the exceptional staff, and the activities.
There was a "bug" going around the ship though, as I caught it the first day of the cruise which put me down for 24 hours, but after that, I was good to go for the rest of the trip. That is to be expected sometimes.
We knew something was up, because the crew would "force" you to use the hand sanitizer anytime you got near food....
Can't say enough good things about this cruise. We received an upgrade in our stateroom, had terrific cabin stewards, ship's company were all very cordial, upbeat, and accommodating as well. Only gripe was getting hit hard for laundry services, and a couple of meals in the main dining room were not up to par, and since we disembarked early, they screwed that up by making people go to the theater, then to deck 5 gangway... only to be told we could not disembark there, but had to go down 3 levels to deck 2 gangway, with Luggage! What a pain that was. But that isn't too bad overall, all things considered.
That's about it.
