I have just read "Never ever "review and certainly agree with most of that .
We arrived in Singapore 19th September ,flying in with Singapore Airlines ,we then stayed 3 nights at the Marina Mandarin ,a great hotel and fabulous staff.
We like a lot of people arrived Monday morning at the cruise terminal only to be left waiting for hours ,We did not get immigration forms or medical check forms until the last minute ,which made things slow ,people trying to fill out forms and it was their turn at the counter ,we had all been standing in the one spot for hours they could have passed them out earlier as they do in Circular Quay. We were one of the first on as my husband is on a walker .
The food in the dining room we really enjoyed but the Windjammer we ate the second night and it was not at all appealing ,Lamb and veg luke warm. .The next morning we lodged a complaint with guest relations. The staff were fantastic , our dining room was Sidney and Hazel , our cabin steward was Rosa and the guys on the pool deck were great .
One of the main reasons we will not go on again is they did not have Disabled toilets , they had them conbined with normal toilets but that is useless as i am unable to go into mens toilets to help my husband , the other reason being the passengers are nearly twice the amount of Rhapsody and Radiance and places like guest relations and pool bar have less staff on it so a more queing .
Unfortunately my husband became very ill with a very high temperature and spent 5 hours a day for the 4 last days on a drip ,the hospital staff ,Doctors and nurses were incredible, we had hired a wheel chair as he was so weak , the second day it was taken from outside our cabin , so our cabin steward brought us another ,then the last morning, as we had to go back to the hospital if his temperature was high and go in to Perth hospital , again crew members had taken the wheel chair and i could not get one , i had to get my husband down to deck 4 on his walker and he had not been on it for over a week .We waited patiently on deck 4 ( for disabled )and finally an hour late we were taken off the ship , i had checked as we had paid $56.00 for bus transport but was told the bus was still there , when we got down stairs it had left, i must say the crew that took my husband down were so good , they took us to a taxi .We certainly had a good time but know a lot of the hassles could have been avoided .
