We celebrated our 40th Anniversary on this cruise. The ports were wonderful as we had never toured Europe, except in England and Scotland. The ports of call were excellent and very informative along with beautiful. The staff on board the Viking Sun was the BEST and were very personable and fun to be around. The food was FANTASTIC and more than we could eat or should eat for the most part and the choices were supurb.

The small number of people on board made for a relaxing and rewarding trip as we were able to meet lots of new people and share previous cruising experiences and learn about new ones we wanted to add to our bucket list.

We stopped in Kinderdijk for the windmills, in Koblenz & Redesheim for castles, in Heidelberg & Speyer for cathedrals, Strasbourg for more cathedrals, in Breisach and the Black Forest for their first snow (fantastic timing) and ended in Basel - our first time in Switzerland and we want to go back soon.

Cabin Review

Standard Stateroom

Cabin E

Next to crew space, but they were very quiet. Cabin was a water level in ship and we will move up to other levels on our next cruise. Shower was ample and bedding was okay, would prefer full sheets instead of just a comforter type cover that just laid on top of the mattress. Internet needs improving, but during cruising time, guess it can't be the best.
