Embarkation was a little slow getting on board the ship. The lines queues were too close together when many had big pieces of luggage coming on board. There was little room for them to maneuver their luggage going through the maze between the turnstyles.
The ship looked in good shape, clean and everyone went out of their way to great all the passengers. The decor of the ship was in excellent taste and I was amazed of the ship layout. Most of the activity was located on decks 2,3 & 4 for shopping, shows, the casino and lounge areas. The casino was always busy and the smoke unbearable. You had to walk through it constantly (which was no problem), they just needed a better air system to handle the smoke. I did like the bar area in the casino as well.
The sports bar had no food to offer during any of the Sat or Sun football games. Passengers had to go up to the Lido deck to get food and bring it back down to the 3rd floor. It would have been a good idea for them to offer some kind of refreshments.
The steakhouse was amazing. We went the first night and received a nice bottle of Merlot for free with the meal. We all had something different, ribeye, surf and turf and a filet. The entire meal was more than worth the $35 per person and service outstanding. When we asked our waiter his name, he at first laughed and said "Dare Devil", (real name was NeB). If you should go on this ship, please take the time to eat here, you will really be pleased and the meal had a great view overlooking the ocean (10th floor) near the smoke stack.
We found the dining room for breakfast very slow, food warm (not hot). Even though the food was excellent and the portion size perfect. Our dining every night was excellent (8pm sitting). Ramone and Ningingh were spot on with any needs as well as bringing the food out at the appropriate times. Very impressive with the number of tables they had to keep track of. Their sing alongs were enjoyable as well. On day three, we had another couple sit with us on their honeymoon. Accommodations were made for them to sit with us during the rest of the cruise. Customer Service in the Truffles restaurant was the best.
