Our recent cruise on the "Dawn Princess" was a very good to excellent experience overall. We were a party of three (relatives) who had experienced five other cruise lines, so we had a basis for comparison. We chose the Dawn for the Southern Caribbean Medley itinerary (Curacao, Isla Margarita, Barbados, Dominica, St. Thomas, and Princess Cays.) We wanted to return to Curacao and St. Thomas, and enjoy the other islands. Enjoy we did!

Embarkation in Fort lauderdale went well because our hotel shuttle was early. We waited in line in the heat for only a short while, then went into the air conditioned Princess building for embarkation procedures. This took about 20 minutes. The "Dawn Princess" is a beautiful ship-very clean and bright with a tasteful decor.

Our stateroom (FF Category) on the Plaza Deck was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. We had booked a quad (to use as a triple) so that my daughter could share our room as her husband was not able to go on the cruise. This stateroom was fine for three female relatives-but three would be the max for adults. The bathroom was a bit small, but spotless and full of fluffy towels and a dish of soaps, shampoo, and lotion. Taller folks might have had a concern about the shower size, but it was fine for us. Our steward was the best we could have imagined. Excellent.
