Great 25th Anniversary Cruise on the Victory

Sail Date: October 2012
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: San Juan

We landed in San Juan on Friday 10/12/12 and spent 2 nights at the Sheraton Old San Juan, great choice for pre cruise! Toured the 2 forts and visited shops and dined in the area, great atmosphere!
Sunday we checked out of hotel at 11:00am and walked across the street with our luggage. Checked in VIP due to suite, waited till around noon and went to our room which was ready for us.
First suite for us and I LOVED it! Room was large, bathroom was large, there were 3 outlets!! It's the little things for me!
Ship was easy for us to navigate as our last Carnival cruise was the Triumph, her sister ship. Serenity area was nice. We did Your Time Dining and loved it, never any waiting! We booked Behind The Fun Tour and Chef's Table this cruise. Highly recommend both of these!
We only went to 1 show and it was good. Loved the casino area and bar. Karaoke area next to the bar was a lot of fun! (thanks to Larry)
Participated in The Awesome Bar Program, feel we got More our moneys worth!
St Thomas we shopped and went back to the ship, enjoyed the sunshine!
Booked Elegance Barbados snorkeling with the sea turtles on our own. GREAT DECISION!!! Met awesome new friends and had a great day! Sarah and crew were awesome.
St Lucia did Land and Sea Tour through Carnival, loved it!
St. Kitts did land tour through Carnival, another good decision!
St Martin went to Orient Beach and Maho Beach with GeorgiaGent and his lovely wife! Best day of the cruise! The planes flying in on Maho were impressive!
We spent 4 nights after the cruise at the Embassy Suites in Isla Verde. Great location, not on the beach but close. Hotel has its own area on the beach. Tell them your room number and last name and they have chairs, towels and umbrellas for you! 2 minute walk from hotel!
Post cruise we did a 1 day tour of rain forest and bio bay snorkeling through Yokah Tours. picked up at hotel at 11;45 and brought back at 9:30 at night. Long day but worth it! $99.00 per person for the whole day! Lunch stop where we purchased our own food but it was reasonable.
We had a great time on this cruise! Ready to start planning the next one! Less
