We stayed at the Country Inn and suites near port canaveral the night before the cruise. We chose this hotel as it was cheaper than the Radisson that we have stayed at before and it included breakfast the next morning. They also have the park and cruise available that our friends used. We rented a car from the airport and the rental car place took us to the port the next morning. The hotel was nice for one night and breakfast was alot more than just a continental breakfast.

Embarkation went really smoothly probably was on the boat in about 20-30 minutes. This cruise was the third cruise on Carnival and this was one of those 3 strikes and your out for Carnival. I am pleased to say this is the best Carnival ship we have been on.

We had my time dining and never had to wait for more than 20 minutes or so. The service in the dining room can be slow at times. The food was a lot better than the other Carnival cruises that we have been on. We really enjoyed Vijay More in the Crimson dining room and for my time dining he remembered our names each time we saw him. The lady that organized the seating was also exceptionally good and remembering us she was from Romania.

The shows and entertainment was great. I really enjoyed the comedy shows. Jeff the fun dude was really funny and enjoyed his introductions of the comedians. The whole layout was a little similar to the Carnival Splendor that we have been on.

We really enjoyed the water slides and all of the pools. Our room steward was really good also. We were in a deluxe ocean view cabin with the extra tub/shower and sink. Definitely, the way to go. Never had to wait to take a shower with 4 people in the room. It was great. Would definitely go on Carnival ship again but, it would have to be a newer ship. Less

Port and Shore Excursions

Our first port was to Belize. Don't understand why any cruise ships would visit this port. Very unsafe and was a little scared with the people hanging on the fences asking to take you somewhere. We did snorkel at this port and the excursion people were extremely friendly and informative. It was beautiful snorkeling and seeing all the different fish and the sea life.

The final port of call was Costa Maya, Mexico. We didn't have much time here at this port as we left at 2. Would've probably gone on an excursion if we had much longer time. We just walked around the shopping area at the port.

Our second port of call was to Cozumel. We went into town with a $7 taxi trip $10 including tip. We shopped around the for some tourist items. Then went back to the port area which was Puerto Maya. We shopped around that area and then went to Pancho's backyard and had some appetizers and the best strawberry margarita. It was pretty yummy.

Next, port of call was Roatan. Probably, our favorite port on this cruise. We shopped a little bit in the shopping area. The boys in our group went zip lining, which is right across the street from the little shopping area. We went then to the beach area. We swam right in front of the ship, which was pretty awesome. The beach area was really pretty with showers and a couple of places to eat and also to get drinks. We really hated leaving this port as it was just so peaceful and the people really nice.
