Our recent Treasures of Prague, the Main and Rhine cruise on Uniworld's River Ambassador had pluses and minuses. On the plus side, the crew was amazing, very helpful and accommodating. The itinerary was interesting, with guides who sometimes gave us too much information. As seniors with difficulty walking, some of the tours were too long, even though we chose the "Gentle Walking" option. There were few places to sit down and rest. However, having the tours included in the price is a good thing.

The food was fine, nothing special but beautifully served with complimentary wine and beer with lunch and dinner, a very nice touch.

The minuses on this ship relate to the small size of the cabins and the lack of on-board program. There is no elevator, and even though the ship is only 3 stories, this was sometimes inconvenient. The ship was refurbished recently, but having a full-length mirror in the bathroom facing you as you sit down is quite a turn-off. Someone didn't think it through! There was no place to hang long clothes as there were shelves in the cupboards. After dinner there was nothing planned except one evening when a local band came on board for a 45-minute set.

Cabin Review

Standard Stateroom with Window

Cabin 3

Cabins are small. with little room to walk. The decor is very nice, with lots of mirrors to make it look bigger. Watch out for the mirror on the bathroom door that faces you as you sit down - not very appealing!
