We flew into Boston a day early and arrived at the dock terminal the next day about noon. We were not able to get on board till about 3:30 and later found out there had been a virus that went thru some of the passengers and crew. People were rude and upset because they couldn't get on the ship, but weren't we lucky and happy that they took extra precautions in thoroughly cleaning the ship!!
For the first time we were not on the navigation or veranda decks and chose the newest category, lanai rooms on the lower promenade deck. Though our room was smaller than we have previously had, we loved being able to look out through wide arcadia doors to the wide open deck. And, we had two dedicated reserved lounges, which we were able to use parts of five days.
Four of us travel together and we each thought the food was, by far, the best food we've had on any previous cruise. We have 148 days on HA and about half that number on Princess. We absolutely could find no fault with the food, entertainment, service. To us, the whole cruise was almost flawless. The only thing I would change is the choice of movies in the theater. WIth the exception of couple of good movies, the others were in the sci-fi field and then were repeated on the next 7 days.
