Just returned from the 10 day Norwegian Gem trip to Canada, including Quebec, Halifax,Sydney and Newfoundland. We loved the itinerary, however, it rained 7 out of the 10 days we were out.One of the excursions we chose was to Fortress Louisbourg in Sydney. The day we went it poured the entire time and much to our surprise they continued the excursion, even though it was teeming! We donned our rain slickers and trudged along the mud roads only to find that half of the buildings we paid to see were closed for the season!Very disappointing!

The ship itself and the crew were extremely efficient and we were happy with that, however, the day of debarkation was a mess! We,being Gold members, were supposed to have priority disembarkation-we were to disembark directly after the quick walk offs. We waited where we were told to wait, then when we were called we all lined up as we were told only to discover that they had us lined up the complete opposite area we were supposed to be in.By the time we all turned around, the cruise director was continuing to call all the other colors while we were still attempting to reverse our direction!By the time we finally managed to disembark, all the other passengers were disembarking at the same time-what a mess!

This was our 11th cruise in the past 9 years, and we have yet to disembark on a cruise free of problems.
