This was our first experience with a river cruise and with Viking, and we were very nicely impressed.

The itinerary had us spending more time on land than on the ship, but it enabled us to see several highlights of China (the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the terra cotta warriors) quickly and efficiently; and the experiences were memorable. Land accommodations were wonderful, food was very good, and we really enjoyed and appreciated our small group's tour guide (Shanshan Wei). The company handled changes and transfers between locations very nicely. We especially appreciated the fact that the excursions were all included as part of the cost of the trip.

Flooding on the Yangtse River meant that we had to board and depart the boat at unexpected places, and we were impressed that Viking was able to make adjustments in our schedule and arrange for transportation to keep us on our journey.

Cabin Review

Comfortable, quiet, very nice.
