Some general information on our 9/30/12 sailing on the Carnival Legend. This cruise was smooth sailing both weather wise and effort wise. We used Capital Parking and saved 60 percent on parking fees (kudos to Capital Parking and thank you Jonathan). We had excellent service from our Cabin Stewards Victor and Nanang, Mario, Eric and Ryan gave great service in the dining room. Went to the Golden Fleece Steakhouse Thursday. On suggestion- BOOK IT!!-The steak house was worth every cent. Kudos to "M.J." Kallayanaphong for her upbeat bar service. If you cruise the Legend, seek out "M.J." for your drinks, she is very entertaining.

We had 3 tours through Carnival and 1 solo tour. In Cozumel- we Sailed the Stars and Stripes "12 metre America's Cup Sailing" adventure. This was an experience of a lifetime. Belize- we took the land rover/cave expedition, also a memorable excursion. In Isla Roatan, we booked a spa day with Spa Baan Suerte. We found Spa Baan through Victor Bodden Tours web site. This was an excellent spa day. We had booked taxi service through Spa Baan. We were late in meeting up with our driver and he had delivered other customers to Spa Baan. Ronald McDonald from Victor Bodden Tours came to our rescue and shuttled us to Spa Baan. One word of contention- the security guard for Mahogany Bay (Carnival employee?)-Orlin (wearing and dark colored uniform) was giving the independent vendors a hard time. I later learned that Orlin owned at least one taxi car and some rental mopeds. If that is true, then he should not be working as a security guard and trying to rent his own taxi cars at the same time. This is a blatant conflict of interest and showing ill will for the local residents. Carnival should investigate this issue.

In the Grand Cayman, with paid for the All Inclusive Beach Get Away. It should be titled "Mostly Inclusive Beach Get Away" to more accurately describe want is included. You are provided with hamburgers, hot dogs, jerk chicken, potato salad, etc. You are allowed 2 of the 3 choices of draft beer, sodas and rum punch. You are NOT allowed umbrellas and snorkel gear. I would NOT recommend this excursion.
