This was our 8th cruise on Celebrity. Out of over 30 cruises over the last 30 years. This was a last minute booking as we couldn't resist the price for an inside cabin for a great west coast cruise with so many stops. We flew up to Seattle and took amtrak to Vancouver where we embarked the Century on a very seamless embarkation. On boarding we were greeted with a glass of champagne (well-sparkling wine). We were booked for early dinner (6;00 pm) and had a great waiter and assistant waiter (Mandi & Chella). Unfortunately we found the food in the main dining room to be not up to our usual expectations on Celebrity. The selections (except for formal night) were mundane (think Denny's). The Lido offerings also did not meet our expectations-poorly labeled and frequently cold.
Although we intended to visit the specialty restaurant we never made it so cannot comment on that.
We had noticed negative reviews on Century maintenance so were a little concerned . As regards to the public areas of the ship we found that, with some exceptions the ship was looking pretty good. Some areas were showing rust and looked a little behind in standard mainteance.
