We really enjoyed our first cruise. We are a married couple in our early thirties and we're not really interested in "lie on a beach" type holidays. To make it easier, I'll break this review into categories.

Barcelona: H10 Universitat in Barcelona - Great hotel in a really good location. Our room was fab but to be fair we did get upgraded to a suite!
Loved Barcelona. Needed more than a day here but will return. A special mention to the vegetarian restaurant - Teresa Carles. We're not vegetarian but one of the best meals ever.

Embarkation: Super smooth and fast.

Cabin: Interior cabin on deck 7. V small as to be expected but very well thought out. Clean and super comfy bed.

The ship: HUGE! The interactive maps were very useful. Nice public areas. Clean and well presented.

Activities: Didn't take part in very many but kind of cheesy but fun offerings like towel folding, quizzes and magic workshops. We enjoyed everything in which we took part. More The pools were too cold to enjoy although lots of people seemed able to brave them. The hot tubs were really enjoyable and relaxing. We made good use of the basket ball court and the mini golf.

Entertainment: Saturday Night Fever was really good. We'd have paid to see this show. Up in the Air was only ok. We've seen several Cirque shows in Las Vegas so we weren't very impressed. The ice show was good too as was the Argentinian drummers.

Service: Very good but not over the top amazing. On 2 occasions in the dining room we ordered drinks that never arrived. Our stateroom attendant was fine but to be honest I expected more. I wonder did the fact that we had prepaid our tips in order to get my time dining effected this.

Dining: Good and very plentiful. The buffet was a little disappointing but edible. The service here wasn't great. The pizza place and the Promenade Cafe had plentiful supply of dessert, sandwiches, pizza and salad round the clock. The food in the main dining room was a little repetitive but good. Small-ish portions but this is a good thing as it allows you to order a couple of starters, desserts etc.

In general we really enjoyed our cruise and would have liked more time to explore the ship. We would cruise we Royal Caribbean again and do the Liberty of the Seas if it travelled on a different route. Less

7677 - next door to the laundry cupboard which meant it was quiet but a little annoying to constantly see a trolley outside our room.
