Ship Facts: Carnival Triumph Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Triumph Deck Plans
Very nice Carnival Triumph 5 night cruise
We received an e-mail from carnival with an offer for past cruisers that we took advantage of. We drove from northern Arkansas to Galveston. We stayed at Gaidos on sun night [the ship departed on mon.] Gaidos is inexpensive and clean and neat but no frills fine for one night. We were able to leave our car there for free. $13.00 cab to the ship mon. morn.

NOW FOR THE SHIP. It is not new but I was surprised how good of condition this ship is in. Paint in great shape no rust. Carpet clean and not stained up. Somebody was always cleaning and polishing everywhere you went. Some public area furniture shows a little wear but not bad.

NOW FOR THE CREW.The crew on this cruise were great. The room steward Mohammad took great care of us. The waiters were wonderful as usual. The bartenders Mark and Valentina were very friendly and after 1/2 hr seemed like old friends. The crew s were friendly with each other and appeared to be having fun while doing their jobs. A happy crew makes for a happy ship.

OUR CABIN We had a Balcony cabin which was fine. It was very clean, everything worked as it should. No fridge in our cabin, not a big deal for us as Mohammad kept us supplied with ice. HOW ABOUT THE FOOD ? Good about describes it. Buffets were ok, but I'm not a picky eater. Dining room food was very good and they now have available every night in the main dining room southern fried chicken, burgers, fish, steak, in case you do not see anything else you like.

OVERALL. A great short cruise on a very nice ship that was very very clean and neat.PORTS> Mexico, fine but been there done that.

ENTERTAINMENT> Typical Carnival, good. Magician was good, entertainers were fine, small band in the casino very good. SPA AND GYM, Did not use. CHILDRENS PROGRAM, Did not use. IN SUMMERARY. A very nice cruise for a fair price. Would be a great cruise for first timers to see if they like cruising or not.
