Ship Facts: Golden Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Golden Princess Deck Plans
Alaska 2
We flew United into Seattle the morning of our cruise.I know some say not to but it worked for us.We got through the airport pretty easy.We had bought transfers through Princess so that all went smoothly also..We were on the Dolphin deck which had a boarding time of 2:30 and that was about the time we got there..Our room was ready and waiting..AN awesome room.D719.This was our first time to have a balcony and we loved it..we used it ALOT..Our second night out got a little bumpy and a few did not make the MDR but by the next morning the water was smooth as glass..We came into Juneau with a little sunshine..Here we went whale watching and it did rain a little but was getting worse just as we were coming in..We saw a pod of Killer whales and a lot of stellar sea lions..Our second port was Skagway and a train ride we will NEVER forget..This was so totally awesome..Like being in a living picture..We also did the Yukon suspension bridge and Jewell Gardens..

The bridge was great, the garden has a veggie lunch..My husband loved it..I could not wait for supper on the ship..lol..This next day we are in Tracy Arm..It's rainy and foggy..Could not get up close to the glaciers because of the ice in the water..It happens with late summer cruises..water was beautiful here because of all the waterfalls and melting ice..Next port was Ketchikan and the crab feast..All I can say is if you love crabs..do this..they were so good dipped in the warm butter..I would do this again..Our last port was Victoria and it was dark when we came into port almost..I know from before though this is a very pretty clean little town with rabbits running around everywhere..or there was on our last cruise..so I hope they are still there..Then we are on our way back to Seattle..greeted with a most beautiful sunrise..Got our flight waiting to take us home after a wonderful memory making cruise..
