Ship Facts: Carnival Freedom Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Freedom Deck Plans
Carnival Freedom
Just returned from a 6 night cruise on the Freedom. Had a great time but I am a firm believer if you don't have a good time on a cruise there is probably something wrong with you!

We have been on several cruises. We decided to do this one on the cheap although there is nothing cheap about cruising by the time you pay airfare.

Pluses The ship was beautiful, staff was great ,room was very relaxing comfortable(outside window cabin)big for a cabin. There was always something to eat.Plenty of entertainment.Ports were good though you are not at any long.

Minuses Price of alcohol if you are a drinker $7 for a beer or mixed drink. Secret bring a bottle in your suitcase to leave in your cabin it is not a problem. Food, there is plenty of it but the quality is not what it use to be.We found ourselves going to the buffet for dinner. A Lot of the buffet food was the same as the dinning room except you can build your own salad at the buffet. When we did eat in the dinning room the food was good not great the same for the service.Casinos fun but I have never known anyone to win in a cruise ship casino if you want to save money avoid it.

Entertainment The shows were entertaining worth seeing but about what you would expect for a cruise ship. The last night Beetles show was a must see better than average.I did miss the tropical steel drum music gone, replaced by a DJ.The outside big screen was cool watched a couple of NFL games in the evening.Piano bar was fun although the guy could play better than he could sing. Larry one man guitar show was above average the guy could play and sing.

Overall had a great time, always do on a cruise. If you are a foodie try Celebrity best food around also has one price drink package.Little older crowd, stuffy but great ships.RCL pricey for about the same quality of Carnival.

Tours Key West did our own thing lunch at the Conch Republic hit the bars Sloppy Joe's,Captain Tony's,Flying Monkey,Hogs Breath Tattoo and Scars al in walking distance.Jamaica Bob Marley bus tour. Was great had a chance to see the real country side a couple of hours driving a lot of information given by happy locals.Warning Bob Marley resting place they do sell pot,a few of the passengers indulged not a problem but ifyou are offended you might want to skip. The food was good and came with the tour. Grand Cayman shopping and lunch on our own.

I will have to say out of the cruises I have been on if you looking for fun Carnival is hard to beat.
