We signed up for a VIP junior suite with a balcony. The VIP access gave us express check in and check out...that is where your VIP status ends. We had no extras given for VIP access once we were on the ship.

The food was terrible. It was fast food quality at best, even in the main "formal" dining room. We did "our time dining" for dinner which we enjoyed but the food was terrible. We didn't see a banana that wasn't bruised the whole time. Even room service bananas were bad. Room service food was cold if supposed to be warm and warm if supposed to be cold. They serve yogurt and milk at room temperature...it's very unappetizing! The food preparation for the buffet's is done outside which attracts bugs and flys and I'm surprised they haven't been shut down by the FDA.

My wife was eating chips and salsa one day from the "off the grill" buffet and found a small worm attached to one of the chopped up tomatoes in the salsa. Our appetites were finished at that point. The coffee was average at best, the lemonade tasted like pure concentrate. The ice cream was bad and all the deserts were very bland and the pizza was old. If you do this cruise you will be disappointed in the food...it's just plain terrible.

Our "junior suite" was smaller than expected. The decor was extremely outdated and the bathroom felt "cheap".
