Ship Facts: Celebrity Solstice Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Solstice Deck Plans
We are CELEBRITISED..lol.

Just returned from cruising for the 1st time with Celebrity and have to say...WOW.

Pat my partner has cruised many times with many cruise lines, I have cruised several times with a few and Marg & Bryn our Co- Cruisers also have cruised a few times with different lines but we all agreed that Celebrity have come out Tops.

We have to admit that the queueing to get on board did leave a lot to be desired and we really feel they could have / should have made proper announcements over the PA system notifying everyone as to why the delays ( It took longer to get the few hundred metres from Quayside onto the ship than it took for us to get from our homes to Barcelona ) 2 1/2 hours to be precise but once on board it was well worth it.

The cabins were more than suitable and ours were inside cabins, and everywhere we went was immaculate and so clean, in fact we found it hard to spot anything that suggested the ship was of any real age.

The food in all restaurants was first class and even though we did dine at Silk, one of the speciality restaurants we enjoyed the main restaurant food so much that we never strayed again as there was no need to.

Service was that of 5* plus and staff attention was also 2ND to none.

Sergio our waiter, Kenrick the Pool butler, Erol the Ensemble bartender, Sheldon the martini bartender, Marden our cabin attendant were the people who made our holiday that so much better and you felt that they felt better because they were making you happy.

The entertainment started off a little bit poorly and it was only after Dave Heenan the comedian that things really did improve and as for Mark Donohue

He really was Brilliant and his Fiddle rendition of Devil went down to Georgia truly was something else.

The Cirque de Soleil act was brilliant and Daniel Bouchet was really only good with his last songs every time when he was finishing his act ( operatic songs )as the rest of his act was far, far too CHEESY.

My only real criticism of Celebrity is ......Your trips are far, far too expensive as we found out, we had a coach trip around Malta booked through Celebrity and our friends did the same with a bus trip booked off the ship and was a quarter of our price.

Also the price of the photographs were ridiculous ....19.99 dollars for a not particularly well taken photo when I have some on my camera which are much better and will only cost me £3 or 5 dollars at snappy snaps....if they reduced their prices to 9.99 dollars they would probably sell 10 times more and this is only what I heard from other passengers.

These are only silly gripes we have with the cruise and NO way did they spoil our Holiday, because we also met some Lovely people on their ..namely Linda & Lou from Vancouver or if Linda likes...YEEHAA country....Pat, Joan, Judy and Hilary from Wurzel Land or the Terrible foursome..lol.

Linda & Bill from Birmingham way ( get the drinks in Bill !!! )

Oh yeah and the crazy 2 Russian couples from LA and St Peters burg...PHEW.

Well that's it folks and all we need to do now is to get saving.
