We flew independently to Budapest and easily got a taxi outside the airport terminal doors to the Corinthia Hotel. The taxi rate is fixed by zone and I think we paid about 20 Euros (Forints not necessary) for the approximate 20 minute drive to the city centre (Pest side).

The Corinthia had a room for us early in the morning, was beautiful and comfortable but we would have preferred staying closer to the river and main shopping area--maybe the Marriott, Sofitel or Intercontinental.

I concur with the comments posted previously by Charlotte T. and Adjohn so I will just make some additional comments:

Cabin Review

Standard Stateroom

Cabin 2

150 feet of compact space. Storage for luggage under bed. Had large picture window with bonus ledge for papers, etc., 2 straight chairs and small round table in front of window, curtain and room darkening shade. Well equipped with bottled water, ice bucket, flat screen TV in desk/vanity area. Comfortable beds and bedding. Plenty of hangers in 3 built in closets, large safe. Thick terry robes and slippers provided.

Luxurious but small bathroom, no tub. Lighted make up mirror, hair dryer. Night light in bathroom ceiling.

2 plugs for American appliances and 2 additional European.

Excellent central location on ship.
