We have just returned from a wonderful holiday on Azamara Journey. Having been dubious about a smaller ship and what it can offer we were very pleasantly surprised.
Food superb, service excellent and nothing too much trouble for anyone on the ship. From the Captain down they all on board aim to give you a great holiday. The captain was very hands on with the passengers and was not aloof and made you feel very much that he was trying his very best at all times for the passengers on the ship.
The Cruise Director, Eric, is very talented and is the first Cruise Director on any ship we have been on participate in the shows and with the passengers throughout the whole Cruise. He is an asset to the company, The entertainment team are all very talented dancers and four very good singers which were a joy to watch. One of the productions without music, although the band was first class, could go into the West End of London.
Only comment is the smallish shower and the layout with the wardrobe with the bathroom. If one of us was at the wardrobe you couldn't access the bathroom either in or out as space was limited there. But nothing major on this with a very good balcony and very quiet as could not hear next door cabins.
It would be nice if you could switch the air con off in the cabin if you wanted.
Very clean and well looked after by cabin staff
