We had a wonderful time on the Carnival Fantasy! First time doing a review so please bear with me. We are a family of 6 and had two ocean view rooms on the Riviera deck, R212 and R216. Great aft location. Jason our cabin steward was fantastic. Rooms were always very clean and he was fast to respond to any question or request. One room was set up with the 2 twin beds and one pull down bunk which was perfect for 3 teenagers. The other room we had set up with the queen size bed and the pull down bunk for the 9 year old. We did find that turning the head of the bed so it was coming from the window gave us a lot more space. We left the bunk down the entire cruise. Kids club were fantastic. Staff did a great job and really took the time to interact with the kids. Only negative is for the kids 9-11 a lot of the club time takes place in a conference room. Meals in the main dining room were very good. Order two items if you want to try two things or how ever many you want. Desserts are great. Service is impeccable. Waiters interacted with the kids a lot and made sure to learn our names. At breakfast our main server Samuel went out of his way to say hello. We ate lunch in the dining room on sea days and it was great. Lido buffet area is also good. The deli sandwiches were made fresh and tasted great. Bring a tall plastic cup for drinks to save going back and forth to the drink station. Angela in the piano bar at night doing a sing along to top 40 hits and more is not to be missed. She draws you in and even has all the lyrics for you to sing along. Tea time at 3:30 on sea days is a nice change of pace. Hot tea, finger sandwiches and more wonderful desserts. Water slides are a lot of fun! Pool gets crowded on sea days. :-) Behind the Fun tour is well worth the time and cost. We didn't take the kids since they weren't very interested. Great tour and you learn a lot about the ship. Buy a lanyard with a clip and have guest services hole punch it so you can wear it around your neck. Worked well with the kids too. All in all a great vacation, reasonable price, awesome food and great people! Ready to book our next Fantasy Cruise very soon!

Port and Shore Excursions

Port
It's a working shipping port. There is a shopping area just off the ship but we found several of the people would change a price on you if you even turned to discuss it. Teenage son came to me to get money after talking to one merchant and when he got back the guy raised the price and wouldn't honor the original price. We got off for about an hour and then returned to the ship.

Junkanoo Beach was a short walk from the dock and it is free. We toured The Pirates of Nassau museum and loved it. Well worth the stop.
