We chose this cruise because of the places it visited, as never been before. Enjoyed all the ports and trips we went on. We thought the Azura crew handled the bomb scare at Gibraltar port very well. I hope the person/s responsible realised what delays and chaos they had caused though!!! We enjoyed the fantastic food and will miss the lovely scones at afternoon tea! The drinks were not too expensive either, compared to other hotels we have been to. It was also good to meet lots of different people on the ship. My tummy suffered a little, around the dreaded Bay Of Biscay area, but didn't put me off. Embarkation and disembarkation was very quick. A lot nicer then waiting around at airports! We will probably choose a smaller ship next time, just personal preference. Facilities were very good and we enjoyed the night time entertainment. We chose to opt out of the gratuity, to give the best share of tips personally to the most deserved staff. The amount added to the account each day is a reasonable amount, but our restaurant waiters were rather miserable and service was a bit slow. Our cabin steward was excellent and wine waiter so friendly and kind. Our outside cabin was big enough for us - P328 and we were near the Atrium, Costa coffee and shops on a deck above. All in all, we had a lovely time and will definitely cruise again some day!

Cabin review: Outside Stateroom

LBP328
Cabin P328 Outside cabin - big enough for us. Large window. Moved bed to make a double. Shower room a little small but had a a nice area to dress with plenty of hanging space. Cabin steward was brilliant.

Port and Shore Excursions

City Tour
Barcelona is a nice city but you must beware of pickpockets!! Tour was not worth the money. Showed main Cathedral and Gaudi Cathedral and other Gaudi buildings which were pretty ugly in our opinion. Spanish model village was quite good. If we went back to Barcelona we would go to the harbour on our own.
CARTAGENA IN SPAIN is the 2nd port we called at, but there is no option to tick this port - We didn't to a tour but went ashore and walked into the town, which was very nice.
Monte Carlo Walking Tour
Loved Monaco and areas within. Went to the old town, watched the changing of the guard and had lunch. Went into the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo and drank two very expensive G&T's! Also walked around the area. Lovely views and very safe to go anywhere, as hardly any crime! Tour guide very informative.
Cant remember the name of the tour but is showed highlights of Rome. From Trevi Fountain, other ruins, Colosseum, lunch, Vatican City & Basilica. Very good and well worth the money.
