Amazing Vacation

Sail Date: September 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Tampa

Just got back from a 5 day Western Caribbean Vacation aboard the Paradise. It was by far the best vacation Ive been on. Ill start in order:

Embarkation:
The embarkation process was extremely fast and organized. The only hope for next time more people taking the bags that you have to check.

Day at Sea:
Beautiful day, the food was pretty good, had the mongolian. We did the typical walking around relaxing. There was always somewhere to sit or lay out. We played in the casino where all the dealers were very very nice. (Look for Allen and Rebecca)The show was nothing short of fantastic. The singers and dancers were amazing and very entertaining. Dinner in the Elation Dining Room was really good too. Our server (Torcado) was the best. He got your meal right every time and was always there if you wanted something.

Grand Caymen:
Caymen was the only day that was not really that exciting. We decided not to do any excursions which was a mistake on More our part but we wanted to walk around and see what the island was like. The shops were extremely expensive. After we left the island had dinner and did a couple of the activities and called it the night.

Cozumel:
Cozumel was very fun, again we didn't do any excursions but the shopping was very fun except the locals that want to sell you something are very aggressive. We bought a bunch of stuff and saw some very entertaining people. We had lunch at Fat Tuesdays which was a blast and strongly recommend it. It was a great time for people that enjoy to drink and have a little party. You have plenty of time to do what you want on the island.

Day at Sea:
We got to sleep in a bit and did the normal stuff on the last day. It was a bit cloudy to sit outside but still was busy. The last show was the Country Show which again was fantastic. It was very funny. Dinner for the last time was again perfect. After dinner was done we talked to our waiter and he was just a pleasant person to be around. We also had Anderson who was the bar waiter. I cant speak any higher about Torcado and Anderson. Anderson was also a extremely pleasant person to be around, I saw him throughout the ship and he would just come up to say hi and not even ask if I wanted a drink.

Debarkation:
Very easy to get off the ship probably about 35 minutes to get off and get out to the parking garage.

Overall:
The Paradise has been updated very nicely. Ive read past reviews and people say it is outdated which I don't agree. In the room there was a nice flat screen tv and a up to date bathroom. There was the Life Jacket box that everyone is so upset about but if you want to look out the window its as simple as crawling over the bed. No big deal at all. The hallways do have some funny colors for paint but again no big deal at all. The singers and entertainers were wonderful and the staff was great. We would absolutely go on the Paradise again.
