This is our 4Th cruise and the second time on the Thomson celebration. We are both 32 years old and loved this holiday. We met some wonderful people (Martin and Trish especially!).
The meals and food choice were 100%. I am a very fussy eater and always found something to eat.
The entertainment staff (especially Gareth) were brilliant as were the resident band (meech and the peackles).
The cabin (845) was relatively quiet as it was at the front of the ship. Although a tad dated but it was adequate and gave us no cause to complain.
The staff are so friendly and hardworking. They really do go out of their way for you. I dont think you could get much better customer service elsewhere. I could give a list of names and go on forever but just to mention a few: Whayhu from the lido restaurant, Miko from liberties bar (who recognised us from a year ago and remembered our names) and Ritiz from the outside pool bar. Fantastic service from these guys. We did tip at the end of the holiday as we felt it was well earned.
We did not end up docking at Mykonos which was part of the itinerary as the weather was supposed to be rather bad with the wind being up to 30 miles an hour. The ship docked at Bodrum instead, again it did not ruin our holiday (although a few couldn't help but moan) but I'm sure the weather at Mykonos would have done!.
The ship as others have mentioned is tired and does need work, but it is very clean and really isn't enough to spoil your holiday.
The price you pay does reflect a 3-4 star. If you want a 5 star I suggest you spend more. It really is a lovely atmosphere on this ship.
We are already looking to book for January. We would certainly recommend this cruise without doubt.,
