First and foremost we had a great time on the Liberty one of the best cruise we've had. Let me start off by saying this was our second Carnival cruise. Our first one was on the Dream and that was really good.
We arrived in Miami a day before and weather was just awful with all the rain and hurricane watches. Looking to ahead to forecast to all of our ports weren't very good either. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Brickel a very good hotel. Everyone there was very helpful great complementary breakfast. After a good night sleep it was off to port of Miami. We arrived around 10 30 it wasn't to busy just yet. They checked us inn and they gave us zone 4 and in about 25 min we were on the Liberty. My wife and I and our friend who traveled with us on this cruise went to the buffet before it became a mad house. There's many items to choose from pretty good really. Then we started checking out the ship. Very nice decor through out the ship not gaudy at all. Place was kept up very clean workers are always keeping it that way. Not the best lay out to get here and there but after awhile you'll get it. The pools are nice maybe a little small for the size of the ship but not a problem. The water slide was great hey I'm still a lit kid at heart. The dinning area was very nice we were in the silver room. Originally requested that we sit with our friends but they had us seating at separate times. The materdee took care of that we both had late seating great start.
The ports that we visited were fantastic. First it was Cozumel we all went to Nachi Coccom for the day. All the booze and food great weather for 55 bucks was a very good deal. We decided to stay on the ship in Belize not into cave tubing. We pretty much had the ship to our-self wonderful. Next stop to Mahogany Bay Roatan this was far the most beautiful island from the rest of the ports that we've visited. We decided on a island tour and a stop to west bay beach for some relaxation and fun. Our last stop was Grand Cayman Island dis some snorkeling with the rays and a visit to rum point beach a very nice day there. Almost forgot all the ports that we visited the weather was perfect.
Now we really didn't enjoy our dinning room experience manly because of our server. He had the personality of a brick wall forgot many items fro what we ordered. He was out of sync the time we were there. The menu was so so at best. Formal nights were pretty good. Any way we went to the Diamond Steakhouse now that was a great experience. The service was first class as was the dinners that we ordered surf and turf MMMMMMMM. In fact we liked it so much we went the a second time and again it was another outstanding meal. Yeah it was 35 bucks pp it was well worth it folks. My wife is such a foodie that we even tried chefs table. Its a seven course meal with the head chef of the ship explaining how he prepares it. Around 12 people participated inn this. We all enjoyed very interesting and very good.
I must say the acclivities around the ship were very entertaining I must say. You have to give it up for Karl with K. The little fellow did fantastic job.Caribbean night was awesome Karl. All the 2.0 enhancements were great guy burgers were out of this world. The red frog bar was nice the comedy cub was very funny. All in all the people on this ship were pleasant as was the was the crew. This was a very good cruise.
