We arrived in Seattle two days early and stayed at the Red Lion Fifth avenue. The room was clean and pleasant. Location was good for strolling. Easy walk, to Pike Place even with limited mobilility. Pike Place was disappointing - very dirty and junky. Pike place Chowder was decent but overrated . Best food and people watching was a little deli on the corner across from the hotel. I forget the name. We used Already There Town Car Service and they were impeccable. Had arranged airport pick up to hotel - hotel to pier- and pier to airport before arrival and Charlotte was so tuned in she actually called me before our luggage arrived and before I had a disembark time. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a car. The drivers were immaculate as were the cars. Highly recommend.

Embarkation was quick - absolutely no wait time. Boarded ship and had lunch in buffet. Mostly empty. Rooms were ready shortly after 1 PM. One suitcase came immediately but ALAS husband was called to so called "naughty" room. We had taken a power strip as recommended by many on cruise critic - not allowed!! Was returned on last day. We were in a Sky Suite and were very happy with the room and service. Our butler Elmerlio was excellent as was tthe room steward Ivan.

The ship was clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the room was very nice always delivered on time and hot. Food in general was well presented but not really that good. We would certainly never cruise for the dining. Entertainment was better than expected. The floatplane in Ketchikan was overpriced and definitely not worth the money or time. Everyone does NOT have a window seat I ended up in a very tight middle seat and saw virtually nothing all for $125. Did enjoy some wonderful crab at the lodge. Be sure to choose the right side of RR in Skagway when returning or you will miss everything. all in all it was a very nice experience. Crew and staff were very accommodating .

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

Sky suite 6131 was large and had plenty of storage. Good sized bath and wonderful deck. Was windy but large. Right by elevator (no noise) 1 deck down to dining and straight up to buffet.
